San Francisco Gay Men's Chorus Holiday Spectacular: Home For The Holidays

The San Francisco Gay Men's Chorus brings its holiday program, Home For The Holidays, to the Castro Theatre in San Francisco on December 24, 2026. The event is part of the chorus's December 19–24 run at the venue, offering audiences a festive evening of choral music in one of the city's best-known entertainment districts.

Founded in 1978, the San Francisco Gay Men's Chorus has a long history of combining vocal performance with messages of inclusion and community. Its holiday concerts are a seasonal tradition, featuring a large ensemble and a program shaped around the warmth and spirit of the season. The event listing does not specify individual songs, guest performers, or opening acts.

Located in the Castro, the theatre sits in a neighborhood closely associated with San Francisco's LGBTQ+ culture and history—a fitting setting for a chorus whose work is rooted in community and representation. Venue and Seating Information

The Castro Theatre is a historic movie palace as well as a live-event venue, giving the holiday concert a distinctive setting. Its auditorium's traditional layout offers a different experience from a modern arena, with the room's architectural details contributing to the atmosphere.

For a choral performance, seats with a clear, central view of the stage can make it easier to appreciate the full ensemble. Review the event's seating map before choosing, since the listing does not provide section-specific sightline or acoustic details.

Parking Information

Parking availability and rates can change, particularly during the busy holiday season. Consider comparing nearby options in advance and allow extra time to reach the theatre.

• Check public garages and paid lots in the Castro and surrounding neighborhoods; confirm current hours, rates, and event-day restrictions before setting out.
• Street parking may be limited near the theatre. Read posted signs carefully and avoid parking in restricted, loading, or permit-only spaces.
